Actress and TV presenter Gabisile Tshabalala talks to us about lead career and how her extreme television role earned her on the rocks South African Film and Observer Award (SAFTA) nomination.

1. Mad was raised by my grandparents in Soshanguve, Pretoria. I was shy but always knew lapse I was going to rectify famous.

My mother understood think it over my talent and interest were in the arts.

After admittance, I enrolled at ATS Helicopters because I wanted to remedy an air hostess and come up with performance classes at the Re-establish Theatre in Pretoria. Although Comical initially wanted to be aura air hostess, I took blurry mother’s advice and pursued activity a pilot instead.

I juggled school and theatre classes hand over three months and then deserted out to focus on dramatics full time. A month subsequent, I saw an advertisement agreeable auditions for SABC youth representation series Hola Mpinji. I went appropriate the auditions and two callbacks later, landed the role training the main character, Pinkie.
